NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a public hearing,
Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, via
teleconference, to consider the following request:
SUBJECT: MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION NO. 1861-18 AND DESIGN
REVIEW NO. 5019-20 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF WELL 28 WITH A
POCKET PARK AT 225 W. MAPLE AVENUE
PROPERTY LOCATION: 225 W. Maple Avenue, Orange, Ca
REQUEST: To construct Well 28 with an associated pocket park at 225 W. Maple Avenue
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: Mitigated Negative Declaration No. 1861-18 was prepared
to evaluate the physical environmental impacts of the project, in conformance with the provisions of the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and Local CEQA Guidelines and finds that the project
will have less than significant impacts to the environment, with the implementation of mitigation
measures as standard conditions. The Final Draft Mitigated Negative Declaration, including the response
to comments, is available for review on the City’s website at www.cityoforange.org.

PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION: The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the
proposed project on January 18, 2021, and recommended by a vote of 5-0 that the City Council approve
the project.
