A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL
OF TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING
UNDER THE COMBINED TRANSPORTATION
FUNDING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Orange desires to implement the transportation
improvements listed below; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange has been declared by the Orange County
Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M
turnback funds; and
WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element IS consistent with the County of
Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange will provide matching funds for each project as
required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program Procedures
Manual; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate funds
for transportation improvement projects with the incorporated cities and County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange will not use Measure M funds to supplant
Developer Fees or other commitments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Orange hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority to allocate funds in
the amounts specified in the City's application, to said City from the Combined
Transportation Funding Programs. The funds shall be matched by funds from said City as
required and shall be used as supplemental funding to aid the City in the improvement of
the following projects:
1) Wireless Signal Interconnect - northwest portion of City of Orange 2)
Batavia at Taft Left Turn Signalization in N-S direction
3) Glassell at Collins Left Turn Signalization in N-S
direction 4) Tustin at Palm Left Turn Signalization in N-
S direction 5) Glassell at Walnut Left Turn Signalization in
E-W direction 6) Chapman at Cannon Left Turn Signalization
in N-S direction 7) Glassell
at Palm Traffic Signal 8) Lemon
at Palm Traffic Signal 9) Lemon
10) Emergency Vehicle Preemption - Chapman from The City Dr to Cannon St 11)
Emergency Vehicle Preemption - LaVeta Ave from Main St to Glassell St 12) Emergency
Vehicle Preemption - Main St from Chapman Ave to State Route 22 13) Emergency Vehicle
Preemption - The City Dr from Chapman Ave to State Route 22 14) Santa Fe Depot
Pedestrian Paseo Project BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED
that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute this
