A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL
OF TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING
UNDER THE RENEWED MEASURE M (M2) OF
THE COMPREHENSIVE TRANSPORTATION
FUNDING PROGRAM.
A Resolution of the Orange City Council approving the submittal of three (3)
improvement project(s) to the Orange County Transportation Authority for funding under the
Comprehensive Transportation Program.
The City Council of the City of Orange hereby resolves, determines, and orders
as follows that:
a) WHEREAS, the City of Orange desires to implement the transportation
improvements noted on the attached map; and
b) WHEREAS, the City of Orange has been declared by the Orange County
Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M "Fair
Share" funds; and
c) WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of
Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
d) WHEREAS, the City of Orange will provide matching funds for each project
as required by the Orange County Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program
Guidelines; and
e) WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate
funds for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the County;
and
f) WHEREAS, the City of Orange will not use Measure M2 funds to supplant
Developer Fees or other commitments; and
g) WHEREAS, the City must include all projects funded by Net Revenues in the
seven -year Capital Improvement Program to add projects approved for funding upon
approval from the Orange County Transportation Authority Board of Directors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The City Council of the City of Orange hereby requests the Orange County
Transportation Authority allocate funds in the amounts specified in the City's application to
said City from the Comprehensive Transportation Programs. Said funds shall be matched by
funds from said City as required and shall be used as supplemental funding to aid the City in
the improvement of the streets as noted on the attached map.
