A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
TO OFFICER KEN ADAMS OF THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT FOR 30 YEARS OF LOYAL AND
DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF

March 4, 1988, Ken began his career as a patrol officer and served as a Field Training
Officer; and
WHEREAS, On July 17, 1994, Ken transferred to the Traffic Bureau. His duties in
Traffic have included fatal and major traffic accident investigations, hit and run follow up,
commercial vehicle enforcement, and oversight of the police tow company program; and
WHEREAS, Ken is a nationally recognized expert on commercial vehicle safety and
teaches on the topic around the country; and
WHEREAS, Ken was selected as the Officer of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of
2004 due in large part to his efforts as the department's commercial enforcement officer. He
