1. SUBJECT
Second Amendment to Attorney Services Agreement with the law firm Liebert Cassidy
Whitmore to provide an additional $80,000 for labor negotiations for a total amount not to
exceed $160,000.
2. SUMMARY
The City currently has an agreement with Liebert Cassidy and Whitmore ( "Liebert") to provide
services in connection with labor negotiations with all bargaining units. The initial agreement
was for an amount not to exceed $30,000, which was later amended to increase it by $50,000 to a
total of $80,000, which has been exhausted. It is anticipated that an amount not to exceed an
additional $80,000 should be sufficient. The total for this contract will be $160,000.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the Second Amendment to Attorney
Services Agreement with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore.
4. FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the following account: 100.0000.52001.00000.

7. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND
The City has retained Liebert to conduct labor negotiations with the City's bargaining units.
Under the current agreement Liebert, with Laura Kalty acting as the lead negotiator, has been
providing negotiation services on behalf of the City for all bargaining units.
