Claim(s) for Damages.
2. SUMMARY
The following claim(s) have been received and investigated by the City Attorney's Office
and/or the Risk Manager. After a thorough investigation with the involved departments, it is the
recommendation of the City Attorney's Office that the claim(s) be denied:
(1) Deny the following Application to Present a Late Claim:
a. Maricela Agramont
(2) Deny the following Claim for damages:
a. Cheryl Davidson Zuidema
b. Mercury Insurance subrogee for James R. Smith
C. Addie Ford, Orange Motors
d. State Farm subrogee for Zoila Naranjo
e. Dolores Alvarez
f. Edgar E. Martinez
3. RECOMMENDATION
Deny claim(s) and refer to City Attorney and Claims Adjuster.
4. FISCAL IMPACT

7. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND
1. Application to Present a Late Claim:
a. Application to present a late claim from Maricela Agramont alleging dangerous
condition of public property resulting in personal injury that occurred at a non -City of
Orange facility.
2. Claims for Damage:
a. Claim for damages from Cheryl Davidson Zuidema alleging property damage to her
vehicle after she struck an object in the roadway.
b. Claim for damages from Mercury Insurance subrogee for James R. Smith alleging
property damage to Smith's sewer lateral caused by tree roots.
c. Claim for damages from Addie Ford alleging property damage to his fence after an
incident involving the Anaheim Police Department.
d. Claim for damages from State Farm subrogee for Zoila Naranjo alleging property
damage to Naranjo's vehicle that occurred outside of the City of Orange.
e. Claim for damages from Dolores Alvarez alleging personal injury when she tripped
and fall over a driveway apron.
£ Claim for damages from Edgar E. Martinez alleging personal injury from an incident
involving the Orange Police Department.
