Claim(s) for Damages.
2. SUMMARY
The following claim(s) have been received and investigated by the City Attorney's Office
and/or the Risk Manager. After a thorough investigation with the involved departments, it is the
recommendation of the City Attorney's Office that the claim(s) be denied:
a. Cordoba Luis Barreto and Norma A. Pena
b. Dolores Sobieski
c. Allstate Insurance as subrogee of Woo Jang
d. Judith McCoy
AAA Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club as subrogee of
Courtney Anderson
f. Christopher Cervantes
3. RECOMMENDATION
Deny claim(s) and refer to City Attorney and Claims Adjuster.

7. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND
a. Claim for damages from Cordoba Luis Barreto and Norma A. Pena alleging property
damage to their vehicle caused by a fallen tree.
b. Claim for damages from Dolores Sobieski alleging property damage to her vehicle
after running over a pothole in the City of Orange.
c. Claim for damages from Allstate Insurance as subrogee of Woo Jang alleging
property damage when a police vehicle collided with their insured's vehicle after the
insured failed to yield to the emergency vehicle.
d. Claim for damages from Judith McCoy alleging property damage to her sewer lateral
caused by tree roots.
e. Claim for damages from AAA Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club as
subrogee of Courtney Anderson alleging property damage to their insured's roof
caused by a fallen tree.
£ Claim for damages from Christopher Cervantes alleging personal injury when he
tripped and fell on a portion of raised sidewalk.
