AXON BODY 3 REVIEW
•Please check your dock MDS and device MDS to make sure the device is the one
assigned to you. After re-ordering them, we have had some officers taking the
wrong device.
•We are starting to see some mounts are breaking. If your magnet mount or USB
breaks, please contact me and Zach to turn in the broken accessory and obtain a
replacement.
•If you have an unintentional recording which is not of a personal nature, categorize
it as No Enforcement. (Not Accidental) Accidental is specific to those with privacy
concerns as they are reviewed.
•If you have an unintentional recording of a personal nature, categorize it as
Accidental and notify the BWC coordinator, Sgt. Plog ASAP. The recording will be
restricted for your privacy and later reviewed by Lt. Trausch, Sgt. Plog, Officer Kohrs
and Z. Saldivar to determine the next course of action.
AXON FLEET REVIEW
•PLEASE make sure to sign into VIEW XL anytime when taking a unit regardless of duration,
such as Court or T-Unit. This will ensure any intentional or unintentional recording can be
located and assigned properly. Please make sure to sign out of View XL as well.
•We have had prisoner camera recordings where we are unable to determine the owner and take an
extensive amount of research to determine the owner. If you log in after the fact, it will still default to the
last user.
•While using the MDC outside of the unit, the unit must remain on, with the key in the
ignition. The unit router will power off after some time, even with the ignition bypass
activated. This is due to a design issue with the factory Police Ignition bypass.
•Be mindful of conversation while partnered up and when transporting to OCJ. The in-car
camera does have audio.
•Function tests are required at the beginning of shift as per policy. During the function test,
please identify your name, MDS, date and time.
•This assists the BWC team when trying to assign a recording, which may fall to another user.
EVIDENCE.COM REVIEW
•Tagging:
•ID field does not have to have to be filled
out. Only required if DR, Cite# or FT.
•For example, flag down with no CAD
activity would not have anything to put in
ID
•Title is optional to help you in identifying
the recording at a later time.
•Remember to leave a note when reviewing
videos, especially if it is not yours.
•If you discover a recording under your
account, which is not yours, please email
tkohrs or zsaldivar with the date and time
of the recording. We will research it and
reassign the “Owner”. You will still show as
the Uploader as we are unable to change
that.
AXON CAPTURE
•When using AXON Capture application on a mobile device, you must manually
select the videos to upload them into Evidence.com. This must be done while
your device is connected to cellular or WiFi.
